René es Ingeniero en Minas con Diplomado en Alta Gerencia y Maestrías en Gerencia de Empresas en el Sector Energético Minero, Planificación Estratégica Minera y Prevención de Riesgos Laborales y Ambientales. Es Presidente de la Asociación de Ingenieros de Minas del Ecuador (AIME), representante al Comité del Consejo Consultivo Minero Público Privado del Ecuador, Gerente General de FERLAT, docente de la Carrera de Minas FICT-ESPOL, presidente del Comité Consultivo de la Carrera de Minas FICT-ESPOL, miembro principal del Directorio del Grupo Iberoamericano de Túneles, miembro Fundador de la Corporación Ecuatoriana de Recursos y Reservas Minerales CERRM, y miembro del Grupo de Industrias de la Iniciativa para la Transparencia de las Industrias Extractivas EITI–Ecuador.
René is a Mining Engineer with a Diploma in Senior Management and Master's in Business Management in the Mining Energy Sector, Mining Strategic Planning and Occupational and Environmental Risk Prevention. He is President of the Association of Mining Engineers of Ecuador (AIME), representative to the Committee of the Public-Private Mining Advisory Council of Ecuador, General Manager of FERLAT, professor of the FICT-ESPOL Mining Career, president of the Advisory Committee of the Mining Career Minas FICT-ESPOL, principal member of the Board of Directors of the Ibero-American Tunnel Group, Founding member of the Ecuadorian Corporation of Mineral Resources and Reserves CERRM, and member of the Industries Group of the EITI-Ecuador Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.
