Rodrigo se unió a BHP en febrero de 2006 como parte del equipo de finanzas que desarrollo y construyó la mina de cobre Spence en Sierra Gorda, Chile. 18 meses después, Rodrigo se unió al Equipo de Marketing en Singapur, donde ocupó varios puestos en Front Office y Logística, manejando clientes y operaciones comerciales a nivel mundial. Ha tenido varias cargos entre los cuales como Gerente Regional de Marketing, responsable del Equipo de Marketing en las Américas de las materias primas producidas en BHP en la región, Chief of Staff para el Director Financiero global de BHP, Gerente de Asuntos Corporativos de BHP en Brasil, y en mayo de 2021, y después de casi 20 años de vivir en el extranjero, Rodrigo regresó a su ciudad natal, Quito, para liderar el equipo de Asuntos Corporativos responsable de las actividades de exploración y Business Developments a nivel global de BHP. Rodrigo también es Director de la Cámara Minera del Ecuador (CME) desde junio de 2021. Licenciado en Administración de Empresas y Magister en Finanzas de la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Viña del Mar, Chile) , con un diplomado en “Creating Shared Value” ( Creando Valor Compartido) de Harvard Business School.
Rodrigo joined BHP in February 2006 as part of the finance team that developed and built the Spence copper mine in Sierra Gorda, Chile. 18 months later, Rodrigo joined the Marketing Team in Singapore, where he held various Front Office and Logistics positions, managing customers and business operations globally.
